They allow 1 small dog (25 pounds) or less with a nightly fee. This means no cats. So if you have a cat or other pet other than a dog, then you’ll have to consider a different accommodation.
Rooms are non-smoking. There’s free Wifi and there’s even a garden! How adorable. While there is no swimming pool, all the other positives about this motel make Viking Inn a desirable place to stay.

Wine Valley Inn prides itself on their free hot breakfast and on-site spa. The Inn also gives access to a Koi pond, fireplaces and a fitness facility. Rooms are non-smoking and they provide free Wifi.

Technically this Inn is not in Solvang. It’s just outside of Solvang in Buelton. A short 6 min drive gets you to the main area. It may be the case that all the hotels in Solvang are booked or the pricing is too high and it makes more sense to branch further out. Buelton is a great option in this case.
Sideways Inn is pet friendly. They are allowed on request for a fee. The pet fee is a bit higher than the first two places, but it’s still a good option. Contact Sideways Inn for current rates.
You can expect an outdoor swimming pool, fire pits, free Wifi and a continental breakfast. For a bite to eat, check out Sideways Lounge for casual cocktails, craft beers and of course wine! They also serve bar food like sausages, fries and wings.
